As you already know, there are many ways to get involved in dreamhamar. It doesn’t matter if you are not an architect, you just have to want to. Come to a workshop or a lecture, work on your own design proposal for Stortorget as a class project, watch Hamar Experience every week at 6pm and chat along with us, visit the exhibition at the Physical Lab or just drop by and share with us what you think of Hamar and Stortorget Square.
Well, guess what… There’s another one! We’ve developed a user friendly digital application that will let you share your thoughts about Hamar from your favourite sofa at home, from your work desk or even from your mobile while you do your groceries.
You can publish short messages from either the web or the mobile versions of the app. Dreams, ideas, thoughts and impressions about Hamar, whatever you feel like sharing! Think about what you like, what could be better and what would you like for the future of Hamar. You can choose a location for your message on the map, add a photo or a video to it, and add a category and some tags. Hamar’s own app is here!
dreamhamar is not just about collecting ideas and then stuffing them into the urban design project, but there is a reason why we’d love to get them and keep them all online:
The community always knows better. One of the most important parts of the innovative network design process taking place at Storgorget is to get the professionals (architects, engineers, planners) to know the people that live nearby. To know what they like, their expectations about Stortorget and Hamar’s city centre.
Meet your community. But not only that: it also allows citizens to know what other citizens want for Hamar, to discover new ideas and points of view, to meet neighbours that share their same interests, etc. And it can be a great conversation starter, by the way!
So, if you have some wandering thoughts in your mind (and we’re sure you do), just give this application a try, post those ideas and share them with your contacts. It’s fast, it’s fun, and with very little effort you’ll become part of a huge, participatory design process. Nothing like this has even done before!
