This time we welcome a visual and multimedia designer Silvia Schiaulini. Silvia will participate in online workshop TACTICAL URBANISM directed by architects Ethel Baraona Pohl and Paco Gonzalez.

Say hello to Silvia!

“Hi all!
I’m Silvia, I graduated in Visual and multimedia design at the IUAV University of Venice in 2009, with a thesis titled Space, time and participation: communication dynamic theories and practices. I’m trying to combine research activity and practice as a graphic designer.
Currently, I’m PhD candidate at the Doctoral School of Design at IUAV. My main research is about the development of new participatory tools which could help the elaboration process of communicative artefacts to be collective (more at www.participativedesign.com).
A fruitful relationship between professionals and amateurs is perfectly described by Robert Jungk: We can help you with our knowledge, but you can help us by the way you
see things when your view is not clouded by all our knowledge of feasibility, of procedures, and so on. I’m interested in studying realized collective design projects and in developing new ones. For that reason I’m really excited about this experience and I’m sure that our dreaming team will give surprising outputs!”
