The Physical LAB is the place to go if you want to make a difference in Hamar. Next week, it’s ACTIVITIES week.
Keeping a public square active and diverse is keeping a city alive. Stortorget should be designed to allow different kind of activities of different nature to take place. A place flexible enough to hold leisure events, cultural and commercial activities and social interaction, from an organized cultural event to a more spontaneous activity. A square conceived as a blank page where citizens can become proactive becoming a key part of the city’s identity.
Hilde Gustava Ovesen, head of Gustavas Kulturfabrikk is the Community activator and directs workshop I on October 11th, from 6 pm to 9 pm, and project manager and architect Elger Blitz is coming all the way from the Nederlands. He is an architect from the firm Carve and will direct workshop II, on October 12th. He is one of the most interesting persons working on urban space in Europe today.
Together they will give a lecture Thursday 13th of October at 7 pm. Just show up and let all the interesting knowledge hypnotize you.
